However, it is worth the effort to test and experiment with different formulations in order finds one that suits you and your personal preferences. Candle making supplies To ensure the proper wick size for your candle, it is very important to test your fragrance oils. Your candle’s ability to burn or not can be affected by the combination of wax, wicks and dyes.

Testing is essential if you want the perfect candle. Every FO in your line must be tested. Every FO can be made up of different raw materials. This can have an impact on how the candle burns or throws. Each scent may require a different sized wick.

You will know which wick is best for your FO/wax combination and the best results after testing. After testing the candle, you should not sell it or give it away. You are responsible for any damage that may be caused. Be safe, not sorry. It is not that easy to make candles, as you may not be aware. Once you’ve found the right recipe, it can be difficult and overwhelming. Here are some tips that you can use to make candles.

Each person has their own method of creating products. These notes are my tips and suggestions. These tips and guidelines might not work for you. These are only the methods that I use. Please remember to ask for my assistance when you contact me by phone or email.

We assume that you have already done some research and tested before you start your project. We are not qualified to help you with the project you have just started. While we are happy to assist you in any way possible, ultimately you will have to test and verify that the products you choose work as you intended. We cannot be held responsible for products purchased from third-party suppliers. You should contact the supplier if you have any problems with certain products. We don’t test on other suppliers products. Only our products are tested.

You shouldn’t assume that all your problems are due to the fragrance oil. You won’t get good scent throw if you don’t use the right wick for your container or jar.

You won’t get a good fragrance throw if you don’t use enough fragrance oil to cover the amount of melted candle wax.

You won’t get a good smell throw if you use too many colors.

You might not get a good scent throw if you don’t check the temperature of the melted wax before adding fragrance oil.

It could have been too hot, or not hot enough. Your wax and fragrance oils did not bond or the scent was dissipated by extreme heat.

To make the perfect candle, there are many factors to consider. It is a difficult task and requires patience. It is worth it once you’ve figured it all out and have your amazing candle! Your hard work, research, and testing will pay off. You will succeed in your new venture!

Candle testing is an essential part of making a candle.

White Crystals, White Chunks in Some Frustrance Oils:

These white crystals are vanillin which has frozen in these cold temperatures. We are in Ohio. It is extremely cold. The boxes are transported to your home on a cold truck. They can travel quite a distance in freezing temperatures. Vanilla-based oils can freeze. Oils can freeze if kept in a cool place. You can heat a pan of hot water and then remove the pan from heat. The vanillin will melt if you just drop the whole bottle into the boiling water. I promise. I promise that your oil isn’t compromised.

No Scent Throw- Did you adhere to the instructions on your wax? You can use too much FO to reverse the process and get less scent throw. It can also clog the wicks. Did you weigh the FO and make sure it was equal in weight to the MELTED wax?

Because fragrance oils can vary in weight, it is better to WEIGH them than to use teaspoons. It is important to use the right ratio of MELTED wax per pound. What is the size of your melt pool? A small wick will indicate that you do not have a large melt pool. When you added the fragrance oil, make sure that your wax wasn’t too hot.

A Thing To Remember – Fragrance oil will not make a perfume stronger if it has been purchased in a light scent. It will not be considered a duplicate if it becomes stronger. It is likely that it will be a lighter fragrance in a candle. Be realistic in your expectations.
